An expanded meeting of the Board of the Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan "Prospects for the development of the dairy industry in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan" was held today at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. The event was attended by General Director of the National Union of Milk Producers Artem Belov, General Director of the Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan Denis Pirogov, as well as leading milk producers and processors in the republic.
Opening the event, Marat Zyabbarov noted that the dairy industry for the Republic is a promising and dynamically developing area of rural business.
“Milk today is 'white oil', which is a source of reliable income for the countryside and a raw material for the production of many key products in the daily consumption of the population of our country,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
For all categories of farms, 1 million 935 thousand tons of milk are needed, including in agricultural formations 1 million 413 thousand tons (plus 2% and 5% by 2019, respectively), productivity per cow is 6334 kg (108% by 2019, plus 134 kg to the plan). 34% of all republican milk is produced by pedigree farms, with 28% of cows, with a productivity of 8062 kg.
More than 70% of raw milk is processed within the republic. In the municipal districts, the largest volumes of milk are in the Kukmorsky, Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Sabinsky, Aktanyshsky districts, where more than 32% of the republic's milk is produced. Each of them sells milk worth up to 8 million rubles daily.
Artyom Belov, Director General of the National Union of Milk Producers, reported on the prospects for the development of the dairy market in Russia and in the world. He noted that despite the difficult year 2020, it was a good year for the dairy industry.
“The demand for milk and dairy products held out last year and in general, even in a number of categories, it grew. That is, the demand in the market has remained, has supported the price of milk and has retained investment attractiveness in the industry, ”said Artyom Belov.
He also spoke about the priority tasks for the current year, including compensation for seriously increased production costs, preservation of capex and maximum compensation for business costs, primarily investment, which is associated with labeling.
Denis Pirogov, General Director of the Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan, spoke about the results of the work of the Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan and plans for the future. The Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan was established in 2010 and unites about 100 enterprises, more than 70% of the volume of milk production. TATMOLSOYUZ has developed a number of programs and measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of raw milk production and popularizing the consumption of dairy products produced in the Republic of Tatarstan. Marat Zyabbarov recommended that all interested milk producers and processors in Tatarstan take an active part in the implementation of these areas.
