Preparations for spring field work are underway in Tatarstan, sowing has already begun in the Republic of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory

On March 11, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin chaired a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation, during which the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev reported on the preparations for the spring agricultural work in 2021.

According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, the agro-industrial complex of our country continues systematic preparation for spring field work, which is taking place regularly. Sowing has already officially begun in the Republic of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. The mass start of spring field work in the south of Russia is expected in the coming days, which corresponds to the average long-term values. The sown area this year will grow by 600 thousand hectares compared to last year and will amount to 80.5 million hectares.

Preparation for spring field work continues in Tatarstan. The sown area will be kept at the level of the previous year - 2.9 million hectares (spring sowing - 1.8 million hectares, winter crops sown on the area of 522 thousand hectares).

This year the task was set to accumulate 70 kg/ha of mineral fertilizers. To date, for the harvest of 2021, 52 kg of active ingredient have been accumulated per hectare (+17 kg of ai as of the current date of 2020).
