The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs about accepting applications for the All-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects "Big Challenges".
This is a large-scale competition for schoolchildren (grades 7-11), students of secondary vocational education (1-2 years), university students (1-2 years) who are engaged in scientific, research, design, inventive activities. Participants need to come up with, create and present an up-to-date development in one of the areas directly related to the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation:
agro-industrial and biotechnology
unmanned vehicles and logistics systems
big data, artificial intelligence, financial technology and cybersecurity
genetics, personalized and predictive medicine
cognitive research
space technology
nanotechnology
neurotechnology and nature-like technologies
new materials
modern energy
smart city
To participate in the competition, a team or individual project is required, completed independently (without the direct participation of a parent or mentor), falling into one of the directions. You can apply for participation in one direction.
The regional track will be held in person for schoolchildren and junior college students in 68 regions of Russia. The final stages of this track will end on March 28th.
The distant tour will be held in absentia for schoolchildren, as well as for those whose project topics do not coincide with the directions of the face-to-face competition in the region. To participate, you must submit an application on the competition website before March 1.
The student track will also be held remotely, students of the 1st and 2nd years of Russian universities must submit their projects by February 1.
The track winners will meet at the final stage of the competition from April 10 to May 15, 2021. For schoolchildren, it will include three rounds: problem solving or testing, essays and an individual interview. At the final stage, students will have an individual interview with an expert commission.
The results of the competition will be announced on May 15. The winners and awardees will be included in the state information resource about children with outstanding abilities (GIR), which makes it possible to apply for participation in the programs and events of the Talent and Success Foundation and regional centers operating according to the Sirius model.
