Farmers' movement in Tatarstan is 30 years old

The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the farming movement in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Khabipov, Chairman of the Association of Farmers of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baitemirov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Myakzum Salakhov, President of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia Vladimir Plotnikov, farmers, heads of agricultural consumer cooperatives of Tatarstan and others.

The event was opened by Kamiyar Baytemirov. In his presentation, he noted the importance of the concept of sustainable agriculture, which includes three main goals:

Preservation of a healthy natural environment;

Achievement of profitability of farms;

Establishment of the principles of social and economic justice in society;

During the conference, a memorandum of scientific and technical cooperation was signed between the State Scientific Budgetary Institution "Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan" and the Association of Farmers, Peasant Farms and Agricultural Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Then the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Khabipov made a presentation. He noted that the farming movement received the support of the first President of Tatarstan, Mintimer Sharipovich Shaimiev, farmers were provided with land, all problems and tasks for their development were promptly solved.

“In 1991, the first 254 farms were created with a land area of ​​11.5 thousand hectares. Today there are about 4 thousand farmers, 370.4 thousand hectares of land are assigned to them, the average land allotment of a farmer has increased from 45 to almost 100 hectares in thirty years. In 2020, farmers, together with 450 thousand personal subsidiary plots, produced agricultural products for 130 billion rubles (53% of the republican volume), including peasant farms for 25 billion rubles and private household plots for 110 billion rubles. By the end of 2020, they produced 1,300 thousand tons of grain, 155 thousand tons of sugar beets, 1,346 thousand tons of potatoes and vegetables. The farms keep 104.9 thousand heads of cattle, including 36.9 thousand cows, 10 thousand horses, 40 thousand sheep and goats, 2.1 million poultry. At the end of the year, farmers showed the largest production index, and it reached 10%, ”Rishat Khabipov said.

He added that special attention is paid to addressing the issues of product sales and processing through the development of agricultural consumer cooperatives; the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan conducts this work together with the State Budgetary Institution “Center of Competence for the Development of Agricultural Cooperation” created in 2018.

Today there are 302 cooperatives. The largest number of working cooperatives is in the Kukmorsky, Sabinsky, Arsky, Laishevsky, Mamadyshsky districts. In 2020, 2,728 new members were additionally involved in agricultural cooperatives, thereby exceeding the indicator of member involvement under the national project (2,680 units). The total number of those involved in cooperation exceeded 7 thousand. Cash proceeds compared to last year) increased 2.5 times, from 1.8 to 4.6 billion rubles.

President of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia, State Duma Deputy Vladimir Plotnikov noted in his speech that Tatarstan occupies a leading position in many areas of development of the agro-industrial complex. He noted that the leadership of the republic pays great attention even to the smallest family farms, personal subsidiary plots.

“The contribution of farmers of Tatarstan to the development of the agro-industrial complex of the republic inspires everyone, it allows to find new effective support mechanisms. It's nice that farmers of the republic are uniting in cooperatives. This is one of the most successful areas. Today, personal subsidiary plots receive support from the regional budget and become important, ”Plotnikov stressed.

The chairmen of agricultural cooperatives of Tatarstan shared their experience and results. For example, Ramis Sakhapov, the chairman of the Barakat agricultural production plant in Aznakayevsky district, said that the cooperative created at the end of 2017 allowed farmers and personal subsidiary plots of the district to receive 3 rubles more for each liter of milk delivered. The cooperative is engaged in the collection of raw milk, its cooling, processing and marketing. The cooperative has united 110 shareholders - 83 personal subsidiary and 27 peasant farms. The agricultural cooperative, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, built a milk processing workshop, purchased and installed equipment for the acceptance of raw materials and quality control. The cooperative has 3 milk tankers, two coolers - for 5 and 10 tons, an ice maker. And also its own laboratory and accounting. Currently, it plans to introduce advanced digital technologies in animal husbandry. Ramis Sakhapov hopes that their implementation will increase milk production, productivity and pregnancy of cows, as well as increase cash proceeds from the sale of milk. At present the cooperative has up to 10 tons of milk per day.
