Scientists of Kazan State University under the leadership of the head and professor of the Department of Operation and Repair of Machines, Nail Adigamov, have developed a comprehensive technology for hardening the working bodies of agricultural machines. The study became the winner of the competition of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan among scientific research and development of agro-industrial complex.

The technology is protected by a patent for an invention. It is intended for organizations of the agro-industrial complex working in crop production. The equipment for its implementation was developed jointly with the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM.

The introduction of the technology involves the use of cermet powders, technologies of microplasma vibration-arc hardening and microplasma electrospark hardening.

Field tests of hardened lancet paws using new technologies have shown that the resource of the proposed complex technologies in comparison with the resource of serial lancet paws increases by 3 times. Increasing the wear resistance of the working bodies of agricultural machines is achieved by alloying the working zones with wear-resistant elements in various combinations (tungsten, titanium, boron, carbon). The economic effect from the introduction of the new technology of strengthening the duckfoot legs in the Republic of Tatarstan will amount to 34.71 million rubles per year.
