The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan takes part in the business mission "Made in Uzbekistan"

On December 1 and 2, a business mission "Made in Uzbekistan" is being held in Korston Kazan. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan Botirzhon Asadov, Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilya Spiridonov, Head of the Food Market Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Yashin, and the Head of projects of JSC RATSIN for the export of halal products Rustem Gainullov.

During the meeting, the event participants exchanged experience, discussed areas of cooperation in the field of agricultural export, also introduced the guests to the culture of Uzbekistan, told how the country is changing and developing today.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, at present, the volume of exports of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020 is 13.5 million US dollars. Products of the oil and fat industry, confectionery, granulated sugar and other products manufactured by the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan are exported

As part of the business program, in two days, more than 20 events will be held: panel discussions and round tables, presentations on the export potential of Uzbekistan and investment projects, meetings of Uzbek manufacturers with Russian entrepreneurs.

Representatives of more than 100 export-oriented companies will take part in the event: manufacturers of agricultural products, fur products, footwear, denim and knitwear, household appliances and electronics, equipment for transformer substations, as well as wine companies. The share of exports in Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover is increasing every year. In 2019, exports reached USD 13,677.0 million, with a growth rate of 45.5%.

The goals of the Made in Uzbekistan project are to demonstrate the products of Uzbek enterprises, increase the country's export potential and build long-term cooperation with foreign countries. For two years of its existence, business missions were organized in India, Belarus, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. In Russia, the project was presented for the first time: within it, the "Green Week" has already taken place in Samara, further events are planned in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The organizer of Made in Uzbekistan is the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
