It was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, representatives of federal departments, regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex, as well as industry unions and organizations.

As noted at the event, the situation in the domestic food market is stable. “The existing production volumes and stocks make it possible to fully provide the population of our country with basic food products. I note that this is largely due to the effectiveness of the measures taken, including the organization of constant monitoring of the situation and the implementation of preventive measures in the organizations of the agro-industrial complex. Thanks to this approach, it was possible to avoid disruptions in the supply chain, to maintain the accumulated growth rates of agricultural and food production, ”said Dmitry Patrushev.

According to the Minister, despite the general stability of the domestic market, these issues must remain under special control in the regions. The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia is actively working with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the agro-industrial complex in the context of a pandemic. Among the main activities are the formation of a personnel reserve, strengthening of preventive measures in production, control over the functioning of related industries, and much more.

The situation in the food market of the Republic of Tatarstan is relatively stable, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan continues to monitor prices for food and agricultural products. For these purposes, price control has been created in the republic, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

At present, agricultural and processing organizations of the republic are working in a regular mode, there is no shortage of products. Also in Tatarstan, agricultural fairs are continuing, where products for the population are sold at almost wholesale prices, for example, granulated sugar at fairs costs 40 rubles per kilogram.

The meeting participants also discussed issues of timely delivery of state support to final recipients, including the development of funds within the state program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas". In addition, one of the main topics of the meeting was the course of seasonal field work. As Dmitry Patrushev noted, the 2020 harvest campaign is almost over. Winter sowing was carried out on an area of more than 19 million hectares. This year it is planned to get one of the largest grain harvests in modern history, for many crops the volumes are expected at the level of the previous year or higher.
