President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan State Agrarian University. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. Today one of the departments of the university - the Institute of Mechanization and Technical Service - celebrates its 70th anniversary.

Recall that Rustam Minnikhanov and Marat Zyabbarov are also graduates of the Agrarian University. In 1978, Rustam Minnikhanov graduated from the Institute of Mechanization and Technical Service with a degree in agricultural mechanization, qualification “mechanical engineer”.

For 70 years, the institute has trained more than 15 thousand engineers for the agro-industrial complex. Currently, about 1.5 thousand students study here. 52 teachers are involved in their education, 9 of them are professors and doctors of science. Scientific schools, which are respected in the country and abroad, have been formed and are actively working.

During the visit, Rustam Minnikhanov examined the Training and Demonstration Center. The educational process is closely interconnected with partner enterprises specializing in the supply and service of agricultural machinery.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan got acquainted with the organization of the educational process in more detail in the educational and laboratory building of the institute. Today training is conducted in 63 specialized laboratories and classrooms. In one of the lecture halls, the President of Tatarstan met with his teacher Farid Gabdulkhaevich Shafigullin. He continues working at the university.

Rustam Minnikhanov also talked with the students of the institute. At the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan recalled how, as a student, he had an industrial practice at a tractor plant in Volgograd. “We practiced in the engine repair shop. I have such experience, - he said. - You have chosen a very necessary specialty. Good engineers have always been and will be in demand. The knowledge you have gained will allow you to be very competitive. "

During the solemn event, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the employees and veterans of the Institute of Mechanization and Technical Service on the anniversary date. “Today the institute fully meets all modern challenges. Engineering personnel who have passed this school can be found throughout our country, in several areas. We can be proud of our institute, ”Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He noted that Kazan Agrarian University is a real forge of personnel for municipalities, and not only in the agricultural sector. “Graduates of the agricultural university and our institute, in particular, make a great contribution to the development of the republic,” the President of the Republic stressed.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards, a number of university employees were awarded honorary titles of the Republic of Tatarstan.
