Tatarstan peasant farm "Zolotaya Lukovka" took 1st place in the international business game "Beginner Farmer"

The team of the Sabinsky Agrarian College reached the final stage of the International Business Game “Beginner Farmer” and won first place in the “Free Topic” nomination. Tatarstan for the first time took 1st place in the competition.

For the final of the game, organized by the Russian Union of Rural Youth and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, on October 14, 18 teams from universities, schools and secondary specialized educational institutions from all over Russia gathered in Moscow.

Milena Salikhova presented her business plan for growing garlic at the Zolotaya Lukovka farm.

The team will grow the Alekseevsky Giant winter garlic. This variety is unique in its yield, which can reach 250 g from one garlic bulb. The main consumers of the products will be the population of the Sabinsky and surrounding regions of the republic, shops, supermarkets, kindergartens, wholesale depots, as well as processing enterprises of the republic.

The winners of the business game will take part in the international final in 2021. They will be awarded with diplomas and mementos and invited for internships in the participating countries - Russia, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and others.
