The best milkmaid of Tatarstan Gulbika Karimova presented to the President of the republic the first copy of the book about the history of agriculture of Tatarstan "Age of trials and victories"
Today, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, a reception was held for the President of the Republic on the occasion of the Day of Workers of Agriculture and Processing Industry. The event was attended by industry veterans, village workers and representatives of agricultural enterprises.
The harvest festival began with a film about the book dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, "The Age of Trials and Victories", where one of the heroines of the book - Hero of Socialist Labor Gulbika Karimova tells her grandson about an unusual book, from the pages of which history of agriculture of Tatarstan is closely intertwined with the fate of people.
“My father also went to the front. Women, old people and we, children, instead of horses harnessed to the plow, plowed, sowed and harvested. They fed the front and survived themselves, ”says a native of the village of Uzyak, Tyulyachinsky District, who, after graduating from a seven-year school, began working on a dairy farm.
The work of a milkmaid was very difficult then. Everything was done by hand - they milked themselves, carried water and feed, cleaned the premises. However, already in the first year, the results of Gulbika’s work were so high that experienced milkmaids could envy her.
In 1968, she set a goal to get at least 4500 kilograms of milk from each cow and fulfilled it, having won the title of "The best milkmaid in the region." In the same year, she brought the milk yield from each cow to 5549 kg, which was twice the regional average, for that she was awarded the title of "The best milkmaid of the Tatar ASSR."
In 1971, Karimova was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and the Order of Lenin. Gulbika Karimova is also a laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1982 for increasing the production of high-quality livestock, the use of progressive technologies and an increase in labor productivity.
The first copy of the book, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and telling about the history of agriculture in Tatarstan, the Hero of Socialist Labor Gulbika Karimova handed over to the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
