Marat Zyabbarov: Export of Halal products amounted to more than $ 1.5 million

Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov took part in the round table "Implementation of regional projects; Export of agricultural products: best practices ", as part of the business program of the 22nd Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2020 ".

The round table was also attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergei Levin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region Konstantin Rachalovsky, Head of the Agriculture Department of the Lipetsk Region Oleg Dolgikh, General Director of JSC RATSIN Denis Samodurov and other representatives of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.

Opening the event, Marat Zyabbarov spoke about the results of export of the agro-industrial complex of the republic for the current period and plans until the end of the year.

“Today, the total volume of exports is 201.8 million dollars, including 139.1 million fat and oil products, 13.4 cereals, 3.3 meat and dairy products, 15.6 ready-made food and 30.4 million other agricultural products. Export of products of the Republic of Tatarstan was fulfilled by 63.4% of the plan - $ 318.3 million. Thanks to the good harvest, we have provided the raw material component of our main exporters, we are in constant cooperation with them”, said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that a lot of work is being done to develop the export of halal products. Now the volume of Halal export is more than 1.5 million dollars, the total volume of halal products produced in the republic is more than 7 billion rubles, this is more than 50 manufacturers, including: - 18 export-oriented companies, of which 5 companies have an international Halal certificate.

Denis Samodurov, General Director of JSC RATSIN, informed about the activities of the regional center and support for exporters in agriculture.

Denis Samodurov said that the main export drivers of the agro-industrial complex are fat and oil products (75%) and grains (6%), which are exported to Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

“The republic produces more than 1.5 million tons of barley, and consumes around 400-500 thousand tons. We can export about 1 million tons of barley. The existing technical base allows exporting grain across the Volga to Iran and Turkey. Currently, we see an increase in the export of barley to Iran from 50 thousand to 100-120 thousand tons. We plan to increase the volume of exports to 50 million dollars by 2024, ”said Denis Samodurov.

The main tasks of the republican agro-industrial center of investments and innovations are to provide package offers, increase the production of target crops and enter foreign markets.
