What surprised and pleased the guests of the Horse Day in Arsk District

21 September 2020, Monday

The traditional holiday Day of Horse took place last Saturday in the Arsk region near the village of New Kyrlay. These popular equestrian competitions are initiated by the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The current format of equestrian competitions has received international status; not only athletes from the Republic of Tatarstan, but also representatives of other Russian regions, as well as neighboring countries, took part in the popular races for 40, 80 and 120 km. For example, from Belarus. At shorter distances, up to two kilometers, Tatar horses competed in the Rural Horsemen races. The audience was also invited to "cheer" on the participants in the nominations "Audarysh", "The fastest driver", "The most exemplary carriage".

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, accompanied by the head of the Arsk municipal district Ilshat Nureyev, examined the library, talked to readers. By the way, there are more than 800 of them on the list. Among them there are not only residents of the village of New Kyrlay, but also of other settlements of the Arsk region: New Yavash, Old Yavash, Chikanas, New Kishit, Old Kishit and others. There are many schoolchildren among the readers, when the school is next door to the library - how not to go! But the elderly people often come here too. For example, 81-year-old Minnulla Galimzyanov admitted that he cannot live without books and newspapers.

Without hiding her joy, the head of the library Nailya Akhmetzyanova, who has been working here for a quarter of a century, spoke about the innovations. These are seven new computers ( there had been only one), and several e-books, each of which has five thousand different works, and disks with films, and all kinds of playgrounds and devices for children. Not to mention the rich library fund, which in the Novo-Kyrlay library has eleven thousand copies.

By the way, such a high-tech rural library (in fact, it is a complex cultural center) is the first in the Arsk region and so far the third in the republic.

After the opening ceremony of the library, the guests went to the meadow. Before the start of the equestrian festival, participants in the Arsk district amateur performances danced and sang songs, children rode on ponies decorated with ribbons and bells, pleasing kebab and tea smoke curled from "food" tents, where you could have a snack at any time.

All those present were greeted by Marat Zyabbarov, Vasil Shaikhraziev, and other guests of the holiday. But still early in the morning, the participants of the marathon races came to the start. Among them there was a short, fragile girl, Dina Sabirzyanova. Running a little ahead, let us inform you that it was she who came first in the 40 km race. The winner admitted that the distance was difficult at first. Some horses were so tired that they barely covered half the way, and the representatives of the veterinary control had to remove some from the distance.

“But my friend and I seemed to have a second wind, and we managed to finish with dignity,” Dina boasted.

The "marathon runners" began to finish only in the afternoon, and the awards ceremony took place in the evening. But they can be called the main characters of the holiday!

The spectators surrounded the platform with a dense ring, where races for Tatar horses, thoroughbreds, half-blooded and local breeds took place. Our "Tatars" are very peculiar animals - short and not flashy in appearance, but very hardy, with a strong character. No wonder they were so revered by the ancient nomadic people of the Kipchaks, whose blood, they say, flows in the veins of the modern Tatars.

One of the most spectacular contests at the festival was "audarysh" - a type of wrestling on Tatar horses. Uel Badykshanov from Leninogorsk spoke about these interesting fights, which, by the way, were held for the first time on Horse Day last year. By the way, the Leninogorsk brand "Almakai" is known throughout the republic - this is an enterprise that promotes horses of the Tatar breed, and is run by an exclusive horse yard, entrepreneur Farid Nabiullin.

- Horses of the Tatar breed have a wild disposition: they like to fight with each other, to bite, but they are picky, capable of moving long distances, frost-resistant, - Uel Suleimanovich spoke with love about the pets. - And our nomadic ancestors used to play sports - horse wrestling. Its essence is that two rivals, tied in a belt with sashes, sit on horses, converge and try, observing the appropriate rules, to throw each other to the ground. We have revived this forgotten tradition.

While the young running horses measured their strength and speed at marathon distances, their older "companions", ceremoniously, as if on a podium, paced the clearing and pulled the carts behind them. Some of them looked like real carriages! At the same time, the passengers of the horse-drawn transport sang songs.

A regular participant in the Horse Day carriage competition is 74-year-old Akhtyam Akhmetkhanov from the village of Tashkichu, Arsk region. He admitted that he was in love with horses since childhood. Previously, Akhtyam worked as a carter on a farm. But horses to this day are his main love, they constantly live in his courtyard. I had a chance to get acquainted with Akhtyam's horse named Gulnara - she turned out to be such a clever girl! I tell her: now I will take pictures of you. So, believe me, she immediately took the desired pose, proudly raising her head with a dressed-up mane. And then, in gratitude for the fact that it was she who arranged a photo shoot, she began to bow.

What always pleases at the Day of the Horse is the large number of enthusiastic young faces. I mean not just curious boys and girls eager for entertainment, but youth who are seriously oriented towards horse breeding and sports. So, the girls-riders, pupils of the RYUSSH in equestrian sports, deftly pranced in front of the audience on slender horses, aroused sincere admiration.
