Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan invites citizens to traditional agricultural fairs

On September 12, at 6 am in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, in the village of Oktyabrsky, Zelenodolsk region (trade and fair complex "New Tura"), the season of traditional autumn agricultural fairs starts.

This Saturday, 128 tons of potatoes, 100.5 tons of vegetables, 38.8 tons of meat, 14.7 tons of draft milk, and 241.8 tons of grain will be delivered to agricultural fairs from the regions of the republic.

Dmitry Yashin, head of the food market development department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, announced this at a press conference at Tatar-Inform news agency today. He emphasized that this project has social significance both for the townspeople and for agricultural producers, who can sell their products without intermediaries, and also not pay for a trading place, which significantly reduces the cost of production.

- Agricultural fairs are a very important support measure for farmers and the population, as farmers have an opportunity to sell their products, and the population can buy it at minimal prices, without trade margins”, noted Dmitry Yashin, -“ therefore, we will continue this work.

The fairs will present a wide range of quality agricultural products at affordable prices for the population: meat, sausage products, draft milk, cheese, butter, vegetables, honey, cereals and other farm products brought from the municipal regions of Tatarstan. Flour, granulated sugar and chicken eggs will be provided by the enterprises of JSC "Holding company" Ak bars ", tomatoes and cucumbers by the LLC Greenhouse complex "Maisky".

The press conference was also attended by representatives of the Main Veterinary Directorate of the CM RT and the Consumer Market Committee of Kazan.

Ruslan Fazylzyanov, Chairman of the Consumer Market Committee of Kazan, said that this year the products will be sold at 14 sites.

Gabdulhak Motygullin, deputy head of the Main Veterinary Directorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that the products presented at agricultural fairs will undergo mandatory inspection in the laboratories of veterinary and sanitary examination. Only those products that are recognized as safe in veterinary and phytosanitary terms will be allowed for sale.

“The Rosselkhoznadzor will control the veterinary and phytosanitary well-being of products arriving at the fair so that the products are not brought from quarantine zones,” said Gabdulkhak Motygullin.

At the end of the event, the speakers answered questions from journalists and invited residents of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as representatives of the press, to visit fairs and purchase natural farm products at affordable prices.
