In recent years, the veterinary service has managed to significantly reduce the cases of rabies, to halve the infection with leukemia. Thanks to the republican program, a network of district veterinary stations operates, mobile veterinary stations operate in the countryside. All this ensures the availability of veterinary care in the countryside.
More than 1900 specialists work in the state veterinary service today. Every day they protect our republic from infectious and other animal diseases, ensure food security and protect the population from diseases common to humans and animals.
Today the veterinary service is developing new areas of activity. Feed laboratories are fully operational, and a program for the disposal of biological waste is in place. For the coming period, you are faced with the task of improving the protection of cattle from leukemia, as well as taking measures to obtain accreditation by veterinary laboratories. This will allow our republic to participate in the Federal Program "Export of Agricultural Products".
