Traditional equestrian sports festival was held in Tatarstan
On August 30, a traditional equestrian sports festival dedicated to the Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the TASSR took place at the Kazan ISSC.
The program of the holiday was varied, but the focus of the spectators was, of course, on horse races and races on the racetrack of the hippodrome, accompanied by prizes. As usual, the tote worked there, which added excitement to the participants.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov also became a guest of the event. He was met by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
15 races took place. The highlight of the event was the race of horses of the Tatar breed, and the most numerous in composition was the race for the Miss Tatarstan prize at a distance of 2400 m for 3-year-old purebred mares. At the finish line, the mare Redberry Bars under the direction of the international-class master jockey S. Kruglykhin won quite confidently. The victorious result is 2 minutes, 37, 361 sec.
Great interest of the audience was aroused by the arrival of stallions and mares born in 2017 in Tatarstan, at a distance of 1600 m. A sharp struggle was also implied because of a number of agricultural enterprises added their sponsorship money to the prize amount: LLC AF Aktai Aksubaevsky, UK LLC AF Chistopolskaya, OOO AF Yaltau, OOO Volga-Select, KFH Suleimanov AI, OOO Promintel-Agro. And the participants of the equestrian action did not disappoint their expectations. Two tandems kept the spectators in suspense up to the finish line. As a result, less than half of the hull was won by a gray mare named Calypso Ash with a master rider A. Popov - 2.02.521. The stallion Wernbloom Ash, driven by a 1 category rider I.Kotegov, lost less than 0.2 seconds to the winner.
And the strongest horses appeared in the race for the main prize of the day - the Prize of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. They competed at a distance of 2400 m. Contrary to expectations, a sharp struggle did not work out. From the second half of the distance, the race was headed by a dark seven-year-old stallion Bashlam under the direction of the master jockey of international class Kh.Ulubaev and confidently finished, “bringing” the second prize-winners - Winning Surprise with master-jockey M. Kushnarenko - more than a second. Winner Result - 2.34,791
