Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the Menzelinsky municipal district today. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
During the visit, the leadership of the republic got acquainted with the progress of seasonal field work and the implementation of republican programs. Menzelinsky district is close to the equator of the harvesting season, 45% of the planned territory has been harvested. From one hectare, grain growers collect 47.6 centners of grain. Thanks to the high yield, over 100 thousand tons have already been harvested.
Rustam Minnikhanov wished successful work to all those involved in the harvesting campaign, and urged to make the most of every fine day.
Then the President of the Republic of Tatarstan got acquainted with the improved embankment of the Menzel River. Recall that in 2018 Menzelinsk became one of the winners of the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements. With the help of the grant and with the support of the republic, the embankment, the beach and the dam were equipped, the monument of industrial architecture - the Catherine Bridge - was reconstructed. As part of the project, the beach area and playgrounds were also equipped, and the public area was cleaned up.
Another public space, reconstructed in Menzelinsk, is the park named after Musa Jalil. Rustam Minnikhanov was told that the park was originally called "Komsomolsky Garden". It was founded back in 1935; it housed a summer cinema and a dance floor. In Soviet times, the park was a favorite recreation place for local youth. Then the park lost its former attractiveness: the cinema was closed, the dance floor disappeared, and there stayed only sidewalk paths.
Then the President of the Republic of Tatarstan got acquainted with the results of capital repairs of the city's social facilities. Thus, in the Central District Hospital, major repairs have been completed. The plans include the construction of a new children's clinic. The corresponding instruction has already been given by the President of Tatarstan.
In 2019, the Regional Palace of Culture was overhauled. In addition to construction work, the institution was equipped with new musical equipment, furniture and chairs in the auditorium.
