Marat Zyabbarov studied field experiments and seed production sites of Kazan Agrarian University

Today, on the basis of the Agrobiotechnopark of Kazan State Agrarian University, a presentation of field experiments and seed production sites of an agricultural university took place. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, the head of the Executive Committee of the Laishevsky District Ildus Zaripov, the rector of the Kazan Agrarian University Ayrat Valiev and other interested parties.

Since 2019, Kazan GAU with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov is implementing a project to create an Agrobiotechnopark, for which 100 hectares of land have been allocated in the Laishevsky district of Tatarstan. Currently, design documentation for the construction of an industrial and educational laboratory base has been developed.

Ayrat Valiev said that in the future the Agrobiotechnopark of Kazan State Agrarian University will become a center for practical training of students and specialists of the agro-industrial complex, as well as a platform for the testing and replication of innovative technologies in agriculture.

Now, on the territory of the Agrobiotechnopark on an area of ​​100 hectares, the university, together with partners, has held down more than 30 field experiments, breeding and seed-growing of promising varieties of crops: wheat, spelled, barley, sunflower, corn, rape, soybean, camelina, buckwheat and potato. Teachers, students and graduate students of an agricultural university demonstrated and talked about the experiences they conducted in specialized plots.

The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted the usefulness of such sites not only for students, but also for agricultural producers to study in the field, close to production conditions, the dependence of the size and quality of the crop on agricultural conditions and cultivation technology; and invited to visit the experimental fields of farmers of Tatarstan.
