What the guests showed at the “Field Day in Tatarstan - 2020”

The agricultural exhibition “Field Day in Tatarstan 2020” was visited today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Khatuov, General Director of Rosagroleasing JSC Pavel Kosov and other responsible persons.

The exhibition takes place on July 2-4, 2020 in Laishevsky district of Tatarstan. Accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, the guests of the event got acquainted with sites of the exhibiting companies. This year about 200 exhibitors take part in the agro-industrial exhibition, more than 17 thousand square meters of land is planted with experimental crops, 9 thousand sq.m is under agricultural machinery.

Preparations for the event began last year, and today you can see the result of this work: on the plots there are about 100 different varieties and hybrids of promising crops, cereals, including the new wheat variety “100 years of TASSR”, as well as other crops (corn, sunflower, peas, potatoes, hemp, chickpeas, green manure, etc.).

As the President of Tatarstan noted, today it is necessary to use new technologies and new bred varieties.

The exhibition was opened by the Laishevsky district venue - the products of local agricultural producers were presented here. Next, the guests examined the livestock block, where developments to increase productivity were presented.

At the stand of the Russian University of Cooperation and the Kazan Cooperative Institute, a video call with students was organized.

In addition, as part of the welcoming speech, the President of Tatarstan thanked all the participants and exhibitors who arrived in the republic to take part in the traditional “Field Days”. He also emphasized that the event was well organized.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, such exhibitions are a good form of work for agricultural producers, when you can find out about development opportunities, communicate with partners and find new ones. “This site is very successful,” he said. “Due to the epidemiological situation this year, the exhibition is somewhat truncated, and we work more in the open, but nevertheless today everything is perfectly organized.”

Rustam Minnikhanov also emphasized that Russia not only provides itself with necessary food products, but is also the largest exporter.

“Tatarstan is always open for you,” the President of Tatarstan addressed the participants of the event.

In turn, Dzhambulat Khatuov, on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, noting that the Republic of Tatarstan is the largest grain producer in the Volga Federal District and one of the strongest agricultural regions in the whole country. Here annually more than 17% of grain and leguminous crops, 30% of sugar beets, 21% of potatoes and 12% of vegetables from the total indicators in the Volga Federal District are produced. In addition, district livestock breeding is also actively developing, holding first place in milk production and 8th in livestock and poultry production. The development of crop and livestock industries makes a significant contribution to ensuring the country's food security. Products manufactured in Tatarstan receive well-deserved recognition and loyalty from consumers both in Russia and abroad.

Large areas at the exhibition were occupied by agricultural machinery - tractors, seeders, and other specialized units. The guests got acquainted with many presented tractor models, including those made in Belarus, as well as with the equipment assembled in Russia. Agricultural machines that were repaired or modernized and were back in operation were particularly noted.

One of the significant stands at the exhibition was the tent of the Digitalization block, which presented companies involved in the introduction of digital technologies in agriculture, which at the moment are not just a fashionable trend, but also an integral part of the industry. It allows accelerating business and production by tens times due to the rapid exchange of information and automation.

At the central stand of the digitalization block, the guests were presented with the “Agrofields” project. The general director of RIVC JSC Niyaz Khaliullin told and demonstrated the relevant industry analytics, as well as the personal account of the agricultural producer. The whole system was developed on the basis of the RIVC, it is currently being tested, and will soon be deployed throughout the republic.

In one of the tents, Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of peasant farms and self-employed. They shared their opinions on further organization of work and support of farmers from the state.

“The Republic has supported and will continue to support this form of economic activity,” said Rustam Minnikhanov. - We pay a lot of attention to large agricultural complexes, but the issue of supporting farmers, personal farmsteads and self-employed is also important. We understand that all this should be developed in a comprehensive manner. ” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that, in his opinion, modern farmers are hardworking and ambitious, ready to implement their projects.

Tatarstan is consistently among the leaders of the country's agricultural production. Last 2019, almost 251 billion rubles worth of products were produced. In recent years, the republic is among the five leading regions in terms of gross output and takes first place in the Volga Federal District. At the end of last year, Tatarstan had been leading in milk production and potato harvesting; took 6th place in the collection of sugar beets, 8th - in the production of meat of cattle and poultry, grain collection.
