A zonal seminar on efficient livestock breeding was held in Chistopol district
Today, in the Chistopol region, another regular open-air zonal seminar on animal husbandry was held with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
The event gathered the heads of districts, heads of agricultural departments and agricultural firms of Chistopol, Aksubaevsky, Alekseevsky, Alkeevsky, Laishevsky, Nizhnekamsky, Novosheshminsky, Nurlatsky and Spassky regions.
Opening the event, Marat Zyabbarov noted that the purpose of the event was to increase the economic efficiency of livestock production by introducing well-established regulations and advanced technologies. The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan also recommended that the heads of districts and the heads of agricultural administrations hold similar events with livestock breeders in their districts.
Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov examined the issues of the proper preparation of fodder for productive livestock raising, focusing on the importance of forage preparation in the budding phase, during the period of the highest protein content in them. As one example of the effective introduction of new technologies in feeding, he cited the Karmaly agricultural firm of the Nizhnekamsk region, where after the introduction of the feed center, the enterprise significantly increased productivity and received additional profit - 16 million rubles a year.
Almaz Khisamutdinov, head of the Main Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, announced that starting from this year, by order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Veterinary Service will accompany calves up to 6 months of age, since this is the most important period when animal productivity is laid. He also carefully considered the issues of using a starter and a colostrum bank for feeding young animals, mandatory immunological prophylaxis for calves, feeding technologies for the transit group, and analyzed typical farm errors leading to cattle mortality.
Speaking about effective programs for the reproduction of dairy herds, the head of the State Pedagogical Agricultural University with pedigree breeding in the livestock sector of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Zaripov drew attention to the advantages of artificial insemination, which now covers 88% of cattle in Tatarstan, and also examined the advantages and disadvantages of using sexed seed, which makes it possible to get 90% of heifers.
Also during the seminar, issues of digitalization of livestock farming were discussed, which enable agricultural managers to analyze indicators to make the most correct managerial decisions to increase cow productivity and farm profitability.
In the practical part of the seminar, the participants studied the work of the livestock complex of the Chistopolskaya agricultural firm, on the basis of which the seminar was held.
