Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov met with representatives of the Tatarstan Beekeepers Regional Public Organization.
The event was attended by the chairman of the “Beekeepers of Tatarstan” Shavkat Khairullin, a member of the Council Alexey Andreev, the chairman of the “Pchelich” Sergey Katkov, the head of the Main Directorate of Veterinary Medicine of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khisamutdinov, the general director of the State Institution “Aquaculture and Beekeeping Management” Marat Minnebaev and other responsible persons.
The meeting was held in the format of an open, lively dialogue, during which beekeepers announced the issues of greatest concern.
Opening the event, Marat Zyabbarov noted that the situation in beekeeping in 2019 showed the need of passportization of apiaries and the creation of a register of beekeepers, so that farmers can better inform beekeepers about the use of plant protection products that can affect the condition of bees during the honey plant. A lot of work has been done in this direction, both at the federal and republican levels. A register of beekeepers has been created. The certification of apiaries also covered the whole republic, and is currently ongoing.
Also, in each district, working groups (emergency response groups for non-compliance with the regulations for the use of pesticides and agrochemicals) and WhatsApp groups were created. They include specialists from regional agricultural administrations, agronomists of agricultural enterprises, beekeepers of the districts, as well as representatives of rural settlements, services of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Rosselkhoztsentr, veterinary associations, State Budgetary Institution “Department of Aquaculture and Beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan”. A notification of upcoming field treatments passes through them.
However, despite the measures taken, the issue of the safety of bee colonies remains relevant. The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan listened carefully to the representatives of the Regional Public Organization “Beekeepers of Tatarstan” about the problems. Among the issues of concern to beekeepers there are: the insufficiently functioning warning system in a number of areas, the treatment of ethophilous crops with pesticides and compensation for the death of bees in 2019.
On a number of issues, such as improving the warning system in the regions, certain decisions were taken promptly, right during the meeting. Also, at the proposal of the Regional Public Organization, in the near future, the ministry will hold a round table with supervisory authorities and representatives of agricultural enterprises on the issues of field cultivation.
Regarding the financial support of the affected beekeepers, Marat Zyabbarov said that today there is an opportunity to help within the grant programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. So in 2019, in the framework of the Agrostartup program, in 2019 13 beekeeper applicants received support in the amount of 35.7 million rubles. In 2020, 23 beekeepers also passed competitive selection (total amount of 68.4 million rubles).
“The meeting was held in the format of a dialogue and became useful for all its participants,” said Marat Zyabbarov. - A number of issues were resolved promptly. There are issues that will require more time. All of them have been taken under our control.”
At the end of the event, Sergey Katkov, chairman of the Pchelich SSSPPK, shared the news about China's interest in Tatarstan honey. The issue of export is being worked out.
