Today, a meeting on digitalization of the agro-industrial complex with the participation of agricultural administrations in the regions of the republic was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Opening the event, the Director General of RIVC Niyaz Khaliullin reminded that the industry is faced with the task of digitalizing agriculture, automating labor-intensive processes and introducing effective tools for optimizing business processes in agricultural enterprises aimed at increasing the profitability of farms.
A specialized YouTube training channel for agrarians “Agropolia” was launched. It was recently launched by the RIVC with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. "Agropolia" will help farmers to obtain relevant information on new technological solutions for the agricultural sector and tools for their practical application.
“The channel “Agropolia” will be replenished with actual training videos every two weeks, the format of the videos will be different: in the format of seminar, training, and in the format of video review; today a series of training videos on satellite monitoring of fields has already been launched, it allows observing the state of plants without going to the fields. If earlier these technologies were expensive, now they can be used absolutely free, ”said Niyaz Khaliullin.
So, the satellite monitoring service allows you to monitor the condition of the fields once every 2-3 days, with sufficient resolution. Moreover, it allows to assess the state of vegetation by the biomass index NDVI.
The second relevant topic of discussion was the introduction in Tatarstan of a unified identification of animals. The system works as follows: the animal is assigned a unique number registered in a single information system, which is marked on a tag or chip. The final registration is made by the district veterinary service, which confirms the presence of the animal. At the same time, the owner of the animal can see his livestock and the entire history of veterinary measures for a particular animal in an electronic database.
Without a single number, the animal will not be able to get to slaughter, and to the counter. Any buyer, if necessary, will be able to see the origin of the cow and the entire history of veterinary measures.
Arsky and Baltasinsky districts were chosen as pilot districts in Tatarstan, but any interested districts can join them. The operator for the implementation of the software product is RIVC JSC, which is engaged in staff training and maintenance of a unified database, as well as a unique number tag supplier in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The ministry said that today the unified identification is voluntary, but it’s planned to introduce it without fail in 2021. By this moment, the economy of the republic and all veterinary services should be ready.
Also, farms of the republic can apply for the introduction of managerial accounting in crop production, which allows real-time determination of costs and forecasting the profitability from the cultivation of certain crops and the application of various agricultural measures.
