Kazan plant plans to supply irrigation machines to Dagestan and Orenburg

25 May 2020, Monday

This year the Kazan plant of irrigation equipment plans to supply sprinkling machines to Dagestan, Orenburg and the republics of the North Caucasus. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov at a meeting in the House of Government of the region, which was held by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food noted that the Kazan plant of irrigation equipment was built in 2016. “This is one of the three plants in Russia where a modern wide-grip circular sprinkler is produced, and this is a serious advantage of the republic,” he said.

The machine was created based on international best practices in the production of irrigation systems, and is not inferior in quality and characteristics to foreign analogues. The standard length of the machine, with seven sections is 444 meters, the irrigation area is 64 hectares.

The installation can water all types of crops and has special nozzles that form fine rain, which ensures appropriate watering. There is the possibility of reverse movement - the machine can move both clockwise and in the opposite direction, regulate and alternate watering, taking into account the placement of different crops on the site.

A serious advantage is the possibility of towed movement from one hydrant to another. The machine operates at low water pressures on the hydrant up to 3.5 atmospheres, which ensures a reduction in pressure on the pipeline and energy savings of up to 30-45%. The plant’s capacities allow the production of more than 300 cars per year. Orders from farmers are received regularly and the plant operates in an intensive mode in compliance with all protective measures in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to Marat Zyabbarov, in 2016-2019 the plant produced and mounted over a hundred of sprinkler machines that "successfully operate in the fields of Tatarstan and other regions of Russia - Altai, Mari El, Udmurtia."

“Only by combining the factors - technically sound hydraulic structures, restored pipelines, and with modern irrigation and pumping equipment, will we be able to ensure a consistently high crop yield regardless of weather anomalies,” said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The average yield of potatoes on irrigated lands is up to 400 kg / ha, vegetables - up to 700 kg / ha, fodder - up to 400 kg / ha. “That is, three to four times more than on the Bogar even in favorable moisture years,” Marat Zyabbarov concluded.

In 109 farms of Tatarstan, there are 367 modern irrigation machines.
