The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan has begun the digitalization of the livestock industry. In each district of Tatarstan, the basic farms for the introduction of advanced digital technologies are identified. This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.

During the event, issues of dairy production in Tatarstan were discussed.

“The situation in the republic for 4 months of this year is positive. 458 thousand tons of milk were produced, it makes 107% compared to last year. April showed a 5% increase in production volumes. Cow productivity is also growing, but there is room for improvement, ”said Lenar Garipov.

The deputy minister noted that traditionally dairy districts - Baltasi, Atnya, Kukmor, Aktanysh, Saba, in which progressive livestock production technologies are being introduced, are traditionally growing in milk production.

To further disseminate best practices, the Ministry has created a working group, which includes the heads of farms approved by the head of each municipal district, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tribal and Veterinary Departments and their subordinate organizations.

Until June 15 of this year, each district will draw up a plan for the introduction of digital technologies.

Herd management programs will be introduced at each farm. (There are different options on the market - Deyrikomp, Afifarm, DelPro, Dairyplan and others. Each farm itself chooses which program to set). Feeding management programs will also be introduced. (For example, DTM, Dairy Feeder, TMR Tracker, etc. They are installed on feeders and loaders).

The purchase of software products together with related equipment will be subsidized by the program “Technical and technological modernization” according to the scheme 40 X 60.

The General Director of the Republican Information and Computing Center Niyaz Khaliullin informed that the norms of the federal law on animal identification will come into force in 2021. The introduction of unified identification numbers will begin.

For this, each farm by the Tribal Department will be given special numbers. Households will receive ear tags with laser marking of these numbers and an electronic tag. Such marks will indicate the size of cattle. Further, the identification numbers and data of each animal will be registered in the herd management program. It is assumed that slaughterhouses will accept animals strictly by standardized numbers and see the entire history of the animal in an electronic database.

Also, the implementation of each process in production - for example, the preparation and distribution of feed, calving, insemination, the creation of technological groups and much more - should be regulated. To work with the protocols, responsible employees of each farm will be identified and will be trained in its technologies for developing protocols and organizing monitoring for the implementation.

To increase the efficiency of work on farms, piece-rate wage systems and material incentive measures will be developed.

On all emerging issues, including subsidizing the program and acquiring tags, you can consult on a single phone call center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan 8-800-444-16-70 (ext. 8).
