In Tatarstan, rural residents received seedlings and seeds worth 10 million rubles free of charge
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, on the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, decided to allocate 10 million rubles to a program for selling vegetable seeds to rural people.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov noted that the essence of the program is the free transfer of seeds and seedlings to the rural population, which allows the self-employment of villagers in the difficult economic situation and maintain food security of the republic.
In total, Tatarstan residents received 31 tons of onion sets, 1 ton of carrot seeds, 820 kg of table beet seeds and more than 162 thousand pieces seedlings of cabbage.
The seed suppliers were the district consumer societies and cooperatives of the Tatpotrebsoyuz system. The crops grown by the villagers will be purchased by themselves for further sale.
