Marat Zyabbarov on sowing-2020: Zainsky, Buinsky, Tetyushsky, Tukaevsky and Aktanyshsky districts are close to the “finish”

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the current pace of the sowing campaign today at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconference with all municipal areas.

Marat Zyabbarov said that the current week was very productive in terms of field work. Since May 1, 1/3 of the planned areas have been sown. To date, sowing has been carried out at 940 thousand hectares, or 53% of the forecast, of which grain makes 660 thousand hectares, oilseeds - 90 thousand hectares; sugar beets - 41 thousand hectares, corn - 12 thousand hectares, fodder - 120 thousand hectares.

The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that in general, the work in the fields is carried out quite organized. A number of districts will complete sowing of spring crops in the coming days. Zainsky (83%), Buinsky (80), Tetyushsky (75), Tukaevsky (75) and Aktanyshsky (72) districts are close to finish it.

“Today, farms that have significant sowing areas need more organized work to maximize the use of available moisture,” the minister said.

Rustam Minnikhanov added that it is important to mobilize and complete the sowing in the optimal time.

Looking forward, Marat Zyabbarov noted that after the completion of the spring field work, an equally important task, the preparation of feed, will be set. Livestock productivity will depend on the quality and volume of harvested feed.

From May 20 to 22, commissioning of fodder equipment and feed storage facilities will be carried out and solution units will also be accepted.
