Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the results of the development of the livestock industry in the first quarter of this year at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting, which was held via videoconferencing with all municipal areas, was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin.

Thus, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that production indicators for all categories of farms are mostly positive. For 3 months of this year, it was planned to grow 130 thousand tons of cattle and poultry meat. As a result, the plan was overdone by 1%.

In general, in all categories of farms in livestock production for the first quarter 440 thousand tons of milk were produced (2.6% growth), 131.8 thousand tons of livestock and poultry meat , 342.9 million eggs.

Meat production by categories of farms is as follows: the plan for agricultural organizations and farms was completed with a plus of 4.5%. For pig meat plan was completed with an increase of 11%, poultry - 3%.

As for the production of beef meat, 21 districts did not fulfill the planned targets. The main reason, according to the minister, is the lack of proper feeding, resulting in low average daily gains.

“We recommend that everyone tighten the control over the maintenance and feeding of feedstock and bulls,” said Marat Zyabbarov. - We need to deal with the construction of open feedlots. We have advanced technology and experience. For example, there is Avangard LLC in Buinsky district. Moreover, there is state support for the development of beef cattle breeding. This is a reimbursement of expenses incurred for the construction of a feedlot in the amount of 25% of the federal budget, provided if more than 240 heads are kept there. ”

In milk production for the first quarter of this year, growth was 2.6%. Gross milk yield for 3 months amounted to 440 thousand tons. 340 thousand tons of milk were produced in agricultural enterprises, a 4% increase, but 2% less was made by personal farmsteads. The main reason for the decline in the population is a 3 thousand goals decrease of dairy herds. In 14 districts milk production declined.

The Minister gave an example of the effective organization of the work of the Tyulyachinsky district on dairy cattle breeding.

“The largest part of Russian milk is produced in the republic. At the same time, we are only 41st in terms of cow productivity. In the Volga Federal District - 9th place out of 14 regions, - said Marat Zyabbarov. “Only 10 of 43 districts of the republic, oare inflated above the average republican level; on average, it is 17 kg.”

According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, milk yield below 12 kg indicates the unprofitability of milk production. In the Kama Ustinsky, Verkhny Uslon, Leninogorsk and Alkeevo - the situation didn’t change.

Speaking about the livestock, the minister said that today the most painful place is the number of cattle. In all categories of farms, they lost more than 23 thousand goals last year, including 10 thousand cows. At the same time, in 25 regions they were not able to keep the livestock.

Marat Zyabbarov also said that in the Yelabuga region they attracted a new investor - Mir LLC from Udmurtia. So, in May, it is planned to begin construction of a dairy complex for 1600 animals (completion in August 2020).

The districts had made plans for the development of livestock production for 2020, but many did not achieve the planned indicators. And this happened regardless the state support from the budget of the Russian Federation in the amount of 1.3 billion rubles and 2.3 billion rubles from the Republic of Tatarstan, which in total is 3.6 billion rubles (600 million rubles more than in 2019).

“I ask the heads of municipal districts, together with investors and farm managers, to analyze the state of livestock breeding in unprofitable agricultural enterprises within a month and develop a plan for overcoming this situation,” the minister addressed the heads of districts.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan also said that spring field work should not be a reason for weakening attention to the dairy industry, and until the new harvest they will have to live off the proceeds from livestock production.
