The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the sowing campaign in the republic today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconferencing meeting with all municipal areas. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.
"Rains and sub-zero temperatures did not allow us to provide highly productive work on the fields this week. Despite the earlier start of field work, most of the sowing will take place in the usual time," said Marat Zyabbarov.
To date, the planned amount of fertilizing of winter crops and perennial grasses has been completed.
"Farmers of the republic have to carry out spring sowing on an area of almost
1.8 million hectares. 125 thousand hectares were sown, of which grain - 102 thousand hectares, oilseeds - 4 thousand hectares and fodder - 17 thousand hectares, "the minister said.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan paid special attention high-performing areas. Among them are Buinsky (sown 15 thousand hectares or 23% of the plan), Zainsky (29%), Nurlatsky (23%); Aznakaevsky (20%) and Drozhzhanovsky (16%).
Then the Minister reported on the productivity of perennial herbs.
“For a well-fed, productive wintering, we need at least 1.6 million tons in coarse and succulent feed units. In the feed wedge of eight hundred eighty-three thousand hectares, 55% are occupied by perennial grasses. High yields of perennial grasses were achieved in those areas , where serious attention is paid to the livestock industry, including Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Aktanyshsky, Sabinsky, Arsky, Apastovsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Nurlatsky and Tyulyachinsky districts, "said Marat Zyabbarov.
Another important issue, according to the minister, is the availability of seeds of perennial herbs on the farms of the republic for sale.
“In the republic’s seed farms there are over 100 tons of seeds, which will be enough for 5 thousand hectares. This is a little more than 4% of the need. To solve the seed problem, in the current year the seed plots in each farm should be determined by technological support of these crops. We need to take care of the harvest not only this year, but also subsequent ones. The most optimal period for planting green manure is now. Those farms that are aimed at efficient production are engaged in this, "said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
In the republic, farms of the investor "Agrosila" are engaged in this type of work. So, the Sarmanovsky district has already sown 5 thousand ha, Zainsky - 890 ha. Rule Akhtyamovich Suleymanov (AgroInvest group of companies) has a similar approach in the Aksubaevsky district. 1.2 thousand hectares and 1.7 thousand hectares in Nurlat were planted.
“I hope that the upcoming week will be a shock, since sowing of siderats in the second half of May, as a rule, does not give a desired effect,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
