“The fact that farmers do not get money in a simple way, has been known for a long time. 5 peasant farms of the Buinsky district created an agricultural consumer cooperative in the spring of 2018.

“We, farmers, are well aware that by joining together you can achieve higher performance,” says Rinat Hafizovich. - But it is difficult to organize it. Voting “for” was voluntary, the heads of peasant farms approved the amount of the annual share contribution of 5000 rubles.

The cooperative members are helping each other and other households in the implementation of harvesting, agricultural services for processing farmland, fertilizing and protecting crops from weeds, pests and diseases. In addition, the cooperative is committed to supplying shareholdings with equipment, fuel and lubricants, to provide processing and marketing services for crop production, as well as to share the acquired equipment.

In 2019, another 11 peasant farms joined the “Luch” cooperative, including 2 from the Yalchik district of the Chuvash Republic. In the 4th quarter of last year, the Luch received a subsidy for the purchase of agricultural machinery in the amount of 5417 thousand rubles. Then, within the National Project “Development of Small and Medium Enterprises”, a subsidy for the purchase of agricultural products in the amount of 1958 thousand rubles was received. The total amount of state support amounted to 7375 thousand rubles. Two tractors were purchased, in the future it is planned to purchase a hangar for storing agricultural products, drying and cleaning equipment.

In 2019, the cooperative purchased and sold agricultural products from members for 44,740 thousand rubles, and the supply of mineral fertilizers and sugar beet seeds was also established for the needs of the cooperative members.

Members of a cooperative in comparison with non-cooperative farms have several advantages. The association allowed members of the cooperative to enter a wider market. There is an uninterrupted direct supply of grown products to the processing plant, bypassing intermediaries, at a market price. The association also allowed the purchase of mineral fertilizers and seeds in large quantities, that is, with greater benefit in acquisition price and transport costs.

The other day, leaders of another 2 peasant farms wrote applications for joining the Luch cooperative.
