Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov met with the co-founder and director of sales and business development of the Turkish company «Agropro Makine Gıda İnşaat San. ve Dış Tic. A.Ş.» ("Agropro") Mustafa Ozkylych. The subject of discussion was the construction of a flour production capacity of up to 125 tons per day plant by a Turkish company in Tatarstan.
This project was presented to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on May 16, 2019 during his visit to Istanbul (Turkish Republic). Following the results of this meeting, a series of negotiations were held with the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and JSC “RACIN”, as a result of which on September 26, 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding and strategic cooperation was signed between Agropro and JSC “RACIN”. According to the Memorandum, the Tatarstan side is committed to providing the company with the necessary raw materials. In turn, AgroPro will pay for the supplied raw materials.
As part of the project, today the Turkish side is considering 2 sites for construction: in the SEZ "Alabuga" and Zelenodolsky district. The final decision will be made this week. The estimated launch date for the factory is planned in September-October 2020, with the possibility of processing the 2020 crop.
As a result of the meeting, for the speedy implementation of this project, it was decided to sign a contract with the RACIN JSC in March by the Turkish side. The parties also discussed the feasibility of building feed production from the residues obtained in the production of flour.
In the future, Agropro plans to implement other investment projects: the production of pectin and prebiotics from beet pulp and the construction of a plant for the deep processing of grain to starch.
