On March 12, a meeting on preparation for spring field work was held in Chistopol district. The event was held by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.
The head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Alexander Romadanovsky said that the sown area in the district is more than 100 thousand hectares, 51,200 hectares of which are of grain and leguminous crops, 27,700 hectares are of forage crops and 20,300 hectares of industrial crops.
Today, Chistopol’s agrarians have already entered the fields and have begun to fertilize perennial grasses; in the near future, they will feed winter crops. Also, equipment repair is about completion, and mineral fertilizers are being imported. The technical readiness of tractors is 88%, 83% for sowing complexes, farms are working on the aggregation of seeders, cultivators and harrows. The accumulation of mineral fertilizers is 33 kg a.i. per ha. During the meeting, the task was set to make at least 70 kg of active substance per hectare.
Ildus Gabdrakhmanov emphasized the terms of the crop. “They consist of the optimal structure of sown areas, seed production, management of crop formation, technological discipline and work with personnel. Only with strict adherence to technology is it possible to achieve the desired result. It is also necessary to increase the effectiveness of protective measures. The task for each farm with an area of more than 500 hectares is to have its own mortar unit”, he said.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister urged the farmers to take measures of state support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, aimed at high-quality and timely spring-field work.
