News from the districts: Farm business of the Faskhutdinov family from Pestrechinsky district

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of small and medium enterprises in rural areas. Today in every district there are people who have opened their own business and successfully developed it. One of them is the Faskhutdinov family from the Pestrechinsky district. In 2016, they received a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan by the “Family Livestock Farms” program in the amount of 2 million 480 thousand rubles.

The peasant farm is considered one of the leading farms in the region. The farm has 39 cows, heifers, calves, gobies and 5 thousand heads of young animals. Every day, from each cow, the farm receives 13-14 kilograms of milk, 430 liters are handed over.

“In livestock, work is in full swing all year round. Winter is especially troublesome, because you need to make sure that the cattle is warm in frosty days, when green meadows with lush grass are under the snow. Fodder economy is fully provided. There is enough feed for a successful wintering, ”says Almaz Faskhutdinov.

They have built a mini-poultry farm for ten thousand heads. Since 2016, they have been daily purchasing chickens of laying hens of the Radanit breed in one of the poultry farms in the Sverdlovsk region. Since January, they have been growing them to three months, and when they gain weight about 1100-1200 grams, they are put up for sale.

“Young birds require special care, because we get one-day-old chickens. Therefore, I am constantly here, I take care of them. My main task is to feed, remove manure in time, observe the temperature regime and vaccinate against various diseases, ”says Rafis Shakirov, the brother-in-law.

“Only by observing all the rules of detention, you can get good results. We strictly control the temperature regime, the level of lighting, especially feeding, watering and vaccination of chickens. We heat the room with firewood, and this year gas heating was connected. The feed consumption in the first month is three tons, and in the future - 5-6 tons, ”says Almaz Faskhutdinov, head of the farm.

The whole family is involved in farming: parents, wife Firuza, children Camila and Karim.

“Children from early childhood know well what rural labor is and with pleasure help us. In the near future we plan to expand the farm, increase the number of birds to ten thousands. We want to deal not only with laying hens, but also with breeding meat, ” Firuz Faskhutdinov shares plans for the future.
