Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin held a video conference call with all municipal areas.

The minister said that in January, agricultural producers of the republic earned 7.8 billion rubles, 6 billion rubles of which are from livestock. The growth was 6% compared to the previous year.

35 thousand tons of cattle and poultry meat were produced, sales revenue amounted to 3 billion rubles (102%). The increase could be higher. But the purchase prices for pork decreased compared to last year by an average of 13 rubles, that is 14%. Agricultural enterprises that have processing and the ability to sell their products at a higher price, achieving a production profitability of 25% are in a stable position.

A decrease in purchase prices is also observed for poultry meat: from 106 to 94 rubles. In those enterprises where deep processing of products is established, the risk of a decrease in efficiency is negligible. The minister called on the rest to ensure stable operation of production and processing to increase the profitability of enterprises.

For the reporting period, over 112 thousand tons of milk (106%) were produced in the republic. They sold 104 thousand tons worth 2.6 billion rubles, an increase of 15%.

“There are no prerequisites for lowering purchase prices for milk. Today it costs 26 rubles 54 kopecks per kilogram. This is 1 ruble 16 kopecks more than last year. Such favorable market conditions give us the opportunity to maintain the growth rate of milk volumes, ”the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized.
