Marat Zyabbarov: Tatarstan fields must be productive
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov reported on the rate of accumulation of mineral fertilizers and the efficient use of agricultural land today at a republican meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Marat Zyabbarov said that today the total area of arable land in Tatarstan is 3 million 273 thousand hectares. According to the data of the territorial departments of agriculture, the actual cultivated arable land is less than 100 thousand ha.
A major problem was the allocation of land shares. Allocating a few dozen hectares of arable land or closing existing farms, a person processes and produces products that are not taken into account anywhere. In 2019, there were about 50 thousand ha of such allotments. “The process is active and is gaining momentum. At such a pace, in the coming years we will lose the official gross output, although in reality it will exist, ”the minister said. He noted that for the same reason, in a number of areas there is a significant decrease in sown area.
The Minister reminded that the target indicator for the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops brought by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for 2020 is 4.1 million tons, and by 2025 - 5.4 million tons. “With such a government policy aimed at increasing production, we cannot leave every fourth hectare of arable land in pairs,” said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
He informed that in a number of districts annually over 25% of arable land remains in pairs. This applies to Verkhneuslonsky, Yelabuzhsky, Zelenodolsky, Agryzsky, Leninogorsk, Almetyevsky, Pestrechinsky, Spassky, Vysokogorsky, Mendeleev regions. “We conduct many seminars and training programs to show technologies that allow us to grow not only large yields, but also achieve high production efficiency without compromising land fertility and the quality of our products,” he said.
The Minister noted that the important component of preparation for the sowing campaign is the accumulation of mineral fertilizers. The President of Tatarstan has set the task of accumulating at least 70 kg of active substance per hectare of crops for the current year’s crop. “So far we have 70 thousand tons of active substance or 1/3 of the plan. To ensure the desired level, it is still necessary to purchase about 130 thousand tons, ”said Marat Zyabbarov.
This year, Zainsky, Sarmanovsky, Atninsky, Tetyushsky, Sabinsky districts pay serious attention to the accumulation of fertilizers. The situation is worse in Agryz, Kaybitsky, Apastovsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Novosheshminsky and several other areas.
“There are enough offers on fertilizer market. But very soon prices will begin to grow seriously. More attention should be paid to the use of biological fertilizers, as well as trace elements. They are applied per hectare slightly, but the effect is very high. Agronomists should take these points into account when developing technological maps.
“It is necessary to clean up the land. There are categories that are not taken into account, there is uncultivated land. We need to work on all this. You also need to work in terms of fertilizer accumulation. Before the start of sowing, a little more than two months left. Competent work with fertilizers is important in crop production, ”Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
