The Czech delegation discussed with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan the issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector

Tatarstan and the Czech Republic have great potential for the development of cooperation in agriculture. This was stated by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on February 4 at a meeting with a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Miroslav Toman. The meeting was held in the Kazan Kremlin. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Russian Federation Vitezslav Pivonka and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

“We appreciate the level of our cooperation in the framework of Russian-Czech relations. Active work is underway in a number of areas. I am sure that the visit of such a representative delegation will serve to strengthen ties between Tatarstan and the Czech Republic, ”Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

Miroslav Toman spoke about the preliminary results of the visit of the Czech delegation to Tatarstan. The guests visited the Elite breeding enterprise, the Maisky greenhouse complex and Kazan State Agrarian University. Delegates also participated in the Tatarstan-Czech business forum. “I am grateful to you for the high level of organization of the visit. In turn, we are ready to provide the necessary assistance for the development of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Tatarstan, ”the minister added.

Further, representatives of Czech companies announced the most attractive areas of cooperation with Tatarstan. Fruit alcohol producer “Liqui B - Blatna Castle Fruit Distillery” is interested in purchasing fruit and berry raw materials from Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov noted good opportunities for cooperation in this area and instructed relevant specialists to consider the issue.

One of the largest Czech breeding companies, CBS, offered cooperation in raising cattle and pigs. “The competent organization of breeding is very important in agriculture. We will actively collaborate, ”the President of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized.

Director General of MADETA Milan Teply told about the activities of the company. Today, MADETA is the largest milk processor in the Czech Republic. Processing volumes reach 900 thousand liters per day. The company produces more than 250 items of dairy products, which are supplied to 15 countries. Rustam Minnikhanov suggested that Mr. Teply consider the option of localizing production on the territory of the republic. “Tatarstan ranks first in Russia in milk production. If you decide, then we are ready to support you, ”said the President of Tatarstan.

The company "INTERLACTO" announced the prospects for cooperation in the production of animal feed. The company exports products to China, the Middle East, Russia, the Balkans, South America and the EU. “In feed production, we need to move forward. Due to the systematic work with feeds, we can significantly increase productivity in the livestock sector, ”said Rustam Minnikhanov.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan thanked the representatives of Czech for their attention to issues of cooperation with Tatarstan, adding that the republic will provide full assistance in this matter.
