Today at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, a reporting meeting of representatives of consumer societies and cooperatives was held following the results of the work of Tatpotrebsoyuz in 2019.

Before the event, the republic’s cooperators organized an exhibition-sale of their own products with the participation of 17 consumer cooperation enterprises and the Kazan Cooperative Institute. In the center of the exposition are the exhibits of the cooperative museum.

Reporting on the work done, the Chairman of the Board of the Tatpotrebsoyuz Rashat Shaimardanov said that over the reporting year, the enterprises of the system produced products worth one billion 693 million rubles, with an increase of 10 percent compared to last year.

“The procurement turnover for the year amounted to 8 billion 159 million rubles, 15 percent increase. About 26 thousand rubles worth products for the last year, our task this year is 30 thousand rubles from each farmyard. This is a feasible task, since in general more than 30 million rubles are allocated for subsidizing livestock procurement. The resource is enormous, surpluses are more than 30 billion rubles only for personal farmsteads, ”said Rashat Shaimardanov.

There are 703 stores in the Consumer Cooperation system, 53 of which are modular, 262 stores selling to their own employees, 319 are leased out. Retail sales for the year amounted to 4.8 billion rubles, with a 5 percent increase. For one villager, goods worth 12.6 thousand rubles were sold. The Kaybitsky consumer community has the highest indicators - more than 34.4 thousand rubles, Mendeleevsky - 28.7, Alekseevsky - 21.5 and Tetyushsky district - 20 thousand rubles; the lowest level is in Kukmorsky - 5.8, Baltasinsky - 4.4, and Elabuga district - 6.8 thousand rubles.

The importance of agricultural cooperation was noted by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov: "Today, 900 thousand people live in the countryside and the role of cooperation in creating an attractive and civilized way of life in rural areas is invaluable."

The Minister noted that the development of the resources of agricultural products grown in private farms is a traditional area of activity of consumer cooperation in Tatarstan. In 2019, personal subsidiary plots produced agricultural products worth more than 100.3 billion rubles, which is 40% of the total agricultural output. In the form of surplus population, it offers agricultural products only according to a conservative estimate of all 50 billion rubles. The volume of services for the procurement of consumer cooperation occupies only a small fraction. From one commodity compound, products worth only 25 thousand rubles, or not more than 10% of the grown production, were procured.

The consumer cooperation system plays a large role in providing essential goods to residents living in hard-to-reach and sparsely populated areas. The state is providing significant support. Last year, 26 car shops were allocated there, and 77 cars in 2018. The Vice Prime Minister instructed to provide weekly analysis of the work of each shop in the districts.

“In three years, 53 points of comprehensive services were built, where there was no stationary trade. Today, one of them has not yet been launched, due to improper deployment require transfer. These are additional costs, ”the Deputy Prime Minister reported, asking the heads of districts to pay attention to this when registering land plots.

The Minister also drew attention to the fact that the cooperators of Tatarstan have exceptional opportunities for updating personnel. The system operates a cooperative higher education institution. “In order to consolidate the youth, we have provided a one-time payment of 300 thousand rubles for specialists with higher education, 150 thousand rubles with secondary vocational education and a monthly payment of 7.5 thousand rubles for one year,” added Marat Zyabbarov.
