The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of small and medium enterprises in rural areas. Today in every district there are people who have opened their own business and successfully developed it. One of them is the Mishkin family from the village of Lagerka in the Cheremshansky district. In 2015, they received a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. In the same year, the household received a milking machine from the district.
If before the formation of the family farm they kept 1 cow, now they have 8 cows. “Wherever we buy cows, we are always lucky. All animals are large, with a good appetite. So, for example, the “Romashka” cow grown in Sulcha LLC in the summer months produces 30 kilograms of milk per day, ”says Peter Mishkin.
The farm is located in two shares. To work on the farm, they use their own equipment: KamAZ, a tractor, trailed units and a mill-crusher. Last year, 10 tons of beets were used to feed animals.
Large feeders are installed inside, a hose is drawn for water. Animals are on a leash.
From spring - cows are driven out to graze. The farm has an electric shepherd. With it, cows feel completely free.
“In February-March, two cows should be calving, and two more to be covered. We cover cows with artificial insemination. This gives a good result, ”says the farmer’s wife Irina Mishkina.
Today, every two days a farm sells 110 kilograms of milk on average, and last year they received 480 thousand rubles from the sale of 25 thousand 700 kilograms of milk.
Spouses combine chores on the farm with a permanent job. Pyotr Nikolaevich works as an operator in a school boiler room, and Irina Vitalievna - as a teacher. They bring up three children who willingly help on a family farm.
