Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, accompanied by the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Republic of Tatarstan Nurislam Khabipov, visited the Federal State Budget Institution “Tatar Interregional Veterinary Laboratory” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor, where he got acquainted with the work of the laboratory and the research equipment used for these purposes.
The Interregional Veterinary Laboratory is entrusted with the responsibility for ensuring the successful development of agricultural production by conducting state examinations, laboratory studies, clinical diagnostic examinations of farms and enterprises in the field of veterinary medicine; seed production and selection, quarantine and plant protection, agricultural chemistry, soil fertility; ensuring the quality and safety of grain, animal feed and components for their production, as well as by-products of grain processing in the regions of the Russian Federation (the Republic of Tatarstan Mari El, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Kirov, Ulyanovsk regions).
The department is equipped with modern laboratory equipment aimed at automating processes and improving the accuracy of research. The priority area of the institution is the determination of residues of prohibited and harmful substances in food products, these are antimicrobial agents, hormones, and toxic elements. Also, the testing center of the institution is actively developing the molecular diagnostics aimed at high-precision indication of infectious disease pathogens, genetically modified organisms and tissue identification of meat products.
Then Marat Zyabbarov visited the Rosselkhoznadzor Office, where he also got acquainted with the work and technical support of the Office. In 2019, the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor revealed about three thousand violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation, fines were imposed in the amount of more than 11 million rubles. In relation to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the maintenance, breeding, slaughter, production and sale of pork, poultry, cattle and small cattle, and the production, processing, storage and sale of milk and dairy products, 442 inspections were conducted, 471 administrative cases were instituted, 3 million rubles fines imposed. Over 100 thousand hectares of agricultural land were verified. 79 landfills identified. Thanks to the joint work with the heads and prosecutors of the districts, all landfills were eliminated. 43 thousand hectares of unused agricultural land have been identified.
Together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, administrations and prosecutor's offices of the districts, more than eight thousand hectares of land are involved in agricultural turnover.
