In Tatarstan, agricultural producers can dispose containers from pesticides and plant protection products
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that in 2019, agricultural producers of the Republic of Tatarstan sent for processing more than 25.9 tons of canisters from plant protection products and 14.8 tons of big bags, which is almost 3 times higher than the previous year. Such regions as Aznakaevsky, Aksubaevsky, Almetyevsky, Arsky, Atninsky, Elabuga, Vysokogorsky, Bavlinsky, Zainsky, Laishevsky, Menzelinsky, Muslyumovsky, Nizhnekamsky, Tetyushsky, Cheremshansky actively participated in this process.
Disposal of pesticide containers is a significant issue in agriculture, as it can cause more environmental damage than plant protection products themselves.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls that from July 1, 2016, a new procedure for the treatment of waste came into force, established by the Federal Law of 29.12. 2014, No. 458-ФЗ “On production and consumption wastes”. For violation of the waste management procedure provides an administrative liability of Art. 8.2. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The sanctions of this article provide the fines of up to 300 thousand rubles and suspension of the enterprise for up to 90 days.
Since 2018, a branch of the FSBI Rosselkhoztsentr in the Republic of Tatarstan has been collecting information on the availability of empty containers and big bags in the republic. In 2020, work in this direction will be continued. The collection and removal of containers is carried out by a specialized organization on a free basis with the provision of all necessary documents.
Many farms of the republic centrally collect containers and ship them to suppliers of plant protection products.
