“One and a half dozen breeding centers are engaged in the breeding of new types of soybeans in Russia, the efforts of which created Russian varieties capable of providing yields in amount of 30–40 c / ha. To date, the sowing volume of domestic selection seeds is 41.8%. This year it is necessary to increase their use by 5% more, and sown area under the crop - by 10%. In addition, the regions should continue measures on soil deoxidation - 1 billion rubles was allocated for these purposes in 2020, ”said Dzhambulat Khatuov. Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia noted Tatarstan among the leading regions liming acidic soils.

During the meeting, the possibilities of import substitution of soybean seed material and an increase in the number of agricultural producers using domestic selection products were examined.
