A document with information about the owner, location of the apiary and the number of bee colonies will be issued to each apiary.
In February of this year, all apiaries of Tatarstan will receive beekeeping passports. This was told by the general director of the Department of aquaculture and beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan Faiz Dinmukhametov.
“During February we plan to issue passports to all apiaries. Then, on the basis of the passport, each apiary will be assigned an individual number. While there is not a single region in Russia that would be able to fully cover this procedure. In Tatarstan, we started this work in January of this year, ”said Dinmukhametov.
According to him, the process is associated with the mass death of bees due to chemical processing of fields, which affected the whole country last summer. In the future, with the help of an information system, it will be possible to see all the apiaries existing in the republic and promptly inform beekeepers about insecticide treatment of the fields.
A single sample passport will contain information about the owner of the apiary, its location, the number of bee colonies, as well as what treatments and therapeutic measures have been carried out.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan recommends that beekeepers apply for passports at the District State Veterinary Association in their area. You can consult with the project curator by phone (843) 221-75-88.
