A gamified service for investing in agriculture was created in Tatarstan

Last week, a meeting with the developers of the unique platform “Fermopolis” was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan. It combines real and game space, and allows to combine the processes of training, investing, making profit and production products with understandable and controlled mechanisms at each stage of the process. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rishat Khabipov, took part in the meeting.

“The fact is that now many people are having difficulty acquiring fresh farm products at affordable prices. And farmers cannot sell their products to retail chains, since the entire niche is occupied by large agricultural holdings, so they are forced to give their crops to wholesale dealers, and as a result, product prices increase by 200-300%, ”said the founder of the project Navruz Tulkunov.

Therefore, a gamified platform that directly connects farmers with consumers was developed. The idea is that people grow products in a gaming way. Moreover, in reality, the same products and the same animals will be simultaneously raised on a real farm. Later the players get them to their table.

Using the Fermopolis platform, people interact directly with farmers, learn the mechanism of investment in agriculture and have several mechanisms for making profit and quality products 1.5-2 times cheaper than in retail chains. Farmers get investors (consumers) who will invest in production from the moment they start growing vegetables or animals.

“The main feature of our platform is the game form, as our research has shown that when growing their crops in a game format, people get positive emotions and a sense of satisfaction. This is proved by the enormous popularity of various farm-related games, where people spend a lot of money on growing virtual products. Over the year, the Russians spent $ 736 million on computer games, and our goal is to channel funds from the virtual gaming space to support real farms, ”the project developers say.

The pilot version of the product was developed on the basis of LLC Agrofirma Zalesnyi, which produces turkey meat under the brand name Indyuzhina. To date, people have already invested in the cultivation of turkeys 625 thousand rubles. Company plans to start developing full versions for iOS, Android and Web platforms, expand our farmers database to 10 and increase the number of users to 5 thousand people.
