The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the work on the information support of the agro-industrial complex development

In Tatarstan this year gross agricultural production, according to forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, will exceed the indicator of 2018 by 3.6%. It was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov on December 24 during a meeting with representatives of the republic's media.

“Agriculture is a key sector of the republic’s economy, which forms about 14% of the gross regional product. The expected gross agricultural production of Tatarstan this year will present an increase of 3.6%, ”the minister emphasized. According to the ministry, in 2019 the country will produce agricultural products for 242 billion rubles, which is 103.6% comparing to 2018.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that due to the daily tireless work of rural workers in the republic, there is a steady increase in agricultural production, and the Tatarstan people are provided with basic local products. This year, 4.45 million tons of grain, 2.8 million tons of sugar beets, 1.2 million tons of potatoes, more than 330 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested, more than 520 thousand tons of cattle and poultry meat were produced. For several years, the Republic has maintained a leading position in Russia in milk production. About 1.9 million tons of milk are produced this year.

As the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informed journalists, the main results of the work of the Tatarstan agribusiness for 2019 will be summed up at a meeting of the board of the department, which is scheduled for February 12 at the Kazan Expo exhibition complex.

During the meeting, Marat Zyabbarov summed up the results of information work in the agricultural sector and presented awards to media representatives who actively cover agricultural topics. For the first time, the Executive Committees of the Baltasinsky, Buinsky and Menzelinsky Districts and the Agricultural Administration of the Arsky District were also encouraged for high-quality information support for the development of the agro-industrial complex in the regions and for actively informing the population about the measures of state support in the village. The first Tatar blogger Gliakhmetov Rinat received a special award for his creative approach to covering agricultural topics.
