Dmitry Zubov: “ACC Kolos is one of the b54est examples of effective cooperative activities”
November 14, Chairman of the Council of the Central Union of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zubov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Chairman of the Board of the Tatpotrebsoyuz Rashat Shaymardanov visited the Alekseevsky Raipo, where they got acquainted with the features of the local procurement base, and also visited the workshop of the agricultural consumer cooperative "Kolos", which makes products from local raw materials.
Tatpotrebsoyuz is the leader in the harvesting of wild plants in the consumer cooperation system of the Central Union. In 2018, regional cooperators procured 526 tons of wild-growing and agricultural products, and 428 tons for 9 months of the current year. Alekseevskoye Raipo purchases from the population of agricultural products and raw materials for over 70 million rubles per year.
Representatives of the Central Union of the Russian Federation and the regional government examined the warehouse, where traditional wild-growing plants are harvested and stored: oregano, tansy, St. John's wort, hawthorn, mountain ash; and a warehouse for recycling organic products. During communication with local residents, rural activists told Dmitry Lvovich that thanks to the activities of cooperatives in the procurement of agricultural products, the population is confident in receiving additional income. Local residents noted that they are grateful to the consumer union for the opportunity.
Dmitry Zubov, Marat Zyabbarov and Rashat Shaimardanov also visited the cooperative production workshops of the Kolos Agricultural Consumer Production and Marketing Cooperative, which produces meat, bakery, fish, and lemonade.
The annual output of the cooperative exceeded 70 million rubles. Cooperators produce more than 1,500 tons of bread and bakery products, about 60 tons of sausage and meat semi-finished products, about 30 types of meat products, more than 22 thousand decalitres of lemonade.
Dmitry Lvovich, while walking around the cooperative’s facilities, said that the Kolos is one of the best examples of effective cooperative activities.
