103 novice farmers from 36 regions of Tatarstan received grants for the implementation of their business projects in the countryside

Today at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, certificates were awarded to the participants of the grant support “Agrostartup”. The total amount of grants was 313 million rubles. 103 of 132 peasant farms from 36 municipal regions of Tatarstan became grant holders in the amount of 2 to 4 million rubles. The largest number of winners is from Mamadyshsky (8 farmers), Aznakaevsky and Tyulyachinsky (6 farmers each), Kukmorsky, Sabinsky and Nurlatsky districts (5 each).

This was told by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. He also noted that grant recipients will mainly implement livestock breeding projects in meat and dairy cattle breeding, horse breeding, sheep breeding, poultry farming, beekeeping, production of commercial fish, as well as fruit and berry crops, grain, leguminous and fodder crops.

“According to the projects, it is planned to increase the number of cows by 903 heads, cattle - by 1053 heads, bee colonies by 1657 units, poultry - over 88 thousand heads," Marat Zyabbarov said.

The Minister added that each grantee has signed an agreement according to which more than 200 jobs will be created in total, and an annual increase of 10% in the volume of production will be ensured. All this is very important for preserving the rural way of life of the republic, ensuring the food security of its residents.

A prerequisite for obtaining a grant was living in a rural area or desire to move to a village and depositing at least 10% of own funds for the implementation of the project.

We remind you that the Ministry provides control over the targeted spending of funds by novice farmers. Grants shall be refunded if we detect the facts of the use of the grant for improper purposes and (or) the provision of false information and documents for their receipt.
