In the republic, sugar beet yield exceeded last year volume by 31.7%. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan on November 7, sugar beet in the republic was harvested from 63.2 thousand ha or from 99% of the area of this crop. 2 million 774.4 thousand tons of root crops were accumulated.
“In the republic, the average yield of sugar beets is 438.9 c / ha. This exceeds last year's indicator by 105.8 centner / ha, ”said Fargat Zinnatov, deputy head of the department for the development of agricultural sectors of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the highest yield of this crop is 532 centners per hectare in Tetyushsky district, Zainsky district has 516 centners per hectare, and Menzelinsky district - 506 centners per hectare.
“The biggest yield is in the Zainsky district - 481.8 thousand tons. Also Buinsky and Sarmanovsky districts, with 359.8 thousand tons and 355.9 thousand tons, respectively, are among the leaders in the production of sugar beets ” said Fargat Zinnatov.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on November 6, sugar beet was dug out from an area of 1.07 million hectares or 93.1% of the sown area (in 2018 - 1.05 million hectares). At the same time, 49.5 million tons were accumulated (in 2018 - 38.7 million tons) with a yield of 464.7 kg / ha (in 2018 - 369.4 kg / ha).
