Marat Zyabbarov discussed with farmers the role of corn in livestock
Today, a seminar-meeting was held in Mamadyshsky district with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. During the event, the role of corn in livestock farming was discussed based on the experience of OOO Food Program.
Addressing the workshop participants with a welcoming speech, Marat Zyabbarov informed that for successful wintering of livestock it is necessary to prepare 30 centners of feed units per head, in total 1.7 million tons of feed units. Of these, 1.3 million tons, or 77%, have been harvested today.
“The Republic is the country's leader in milk production and we are going to reach a volume of 1.9 million tons per year with a cow productivity of 6000 kg. Advanced farms already have milk yields of more than 10 thousand kg per year. Without energy feed, we cannot achieve these indicators. The purpose of our event today is to show how the Food Program, one of the most efficient milk producers, works. The average annual productivity of cows on the farm is 10.8 thousand kg. or almost 30 kg per day, ”said Marat Zyabbarov.
“We set ourselves the task of having at least 1.5 tons of corn grain per cow. For this, in 2020, every farm in the republic should have a full-fledged corn field for grain at the rate of at least 0.3 ha per 1 cow with a yield of 50 centners or more".
Experts told what should be done for this and showed it in practice. Agricultural producers studied Limagren corn hybrids, the cultivation of corn using grain technology, protection systems, mineral nutrition programs and practical experience in various regions of Russia. Also, during the practical part of the seminar, specialists were shown harvesting corn and silage using specialized reapers.
