The results of the competitive selection of peasant farms for grants by the "Agrostartup" program.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the summing up of the competition for the selection of projects of peasant farms for the provision of grants by the departmental program "Creation and development of peasant farms for the project" Agrostartup in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2019-2024 ". The total amount of grants amounted to more than 312 million rubles.

103 of 132 peasant farms from 36 municipal regions of Tatarstan became grant holders in the amount of 2 to 4 million rubles. The largest number of winners are from Mamadyshsky (8 farmers), Aznakaevsky and Tyulyachinsky districts (6 farmers each).

The grantees will mainly implement livestock breeding projects in meat and dairy cattle breeding, horse breeding, sheep breeding, poultry farming, beekeeping, production of commercial fish, as well as fruit and berry crops, grain, leguminous and fodder crops.

 “In recent years, due to the automation of agricultural production and the replacement of heavy manual labor with machinery, the number of employed rural people has been steadily declining. Accordingly, there arises the problem of their employment, and ensuring profitability, the solution of which in the republic is aimed at a whole complex of interrelated measures. The support program for novice farmers is aimed at improving the living standards of rural residents, ensuring self-employment of the rural population, increasing the business activity of young people in the countryside, maintaining a rural way of life, ”said Rishat Khabipov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Ministry provides control over the targeted spending of funds and reminds that the grants provided are refundable if there are facts of the use of the grant for improper purposes and (or) the provision of false information and documents for their receipt revealed.
