Marat Akhmetov: 90% of the area was removed in the republic
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the current harvesting campaign in Tatarstan today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Marat Akhmetov said that 90% of the area was removed in the republic. Less than 150 thousand hectares to remove is left. A total of 3.8 million tons of grain of the new crop was harvested. Productivity is over 30 kg / ha. The cleaning was completed by Zainsky (152 thousand tons), Nurlatsky (104 thousand tons of grain), Apastovsky (84 thousand tons) and Kaybitsky (55 thousand tons) municipal areas.
Then the minister reported on livestock production indicators for 8 months. More than 915 thousand tons of milk are produced, the growth is 4%. 266 thousand tons of meat were grown (5.5 thousand tons more than last year). Large pig and poultry enterprises are ramping up production. 807 million eggs were received, which is 9% more than last year's level. The number of cattle is 721.5 thousand heads, 242.5 thousand of which are cows.
Over 8 months, the cash proceeds of agricultural enterprises reached 60 billion rubles, 46 billion are from livestock (an increase of 16%). Growth is provided mainly in the dairy industry.
According to Marat Akhmetov, dairy farming is undergoing large-scale modernization, new high-tech complexes are being built. “Over the past 3 years, 26 modern dairy complexes for 28 thousand heads of dairy herds were put into operation,” the minister said.
At the same time with the construction of new ones, work is underway to modernize existing cowsheds. Since 2016, an overhaul of 900 cowsheds for 141 thousand heads was carried out, 368 silo-silage trenches were built. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan has developed a long-term plan for the construction of large dairy complexes for 2019-2020.
The Minister noted that many agricultural enterprises of the republic actively joined the new republican program with 30% compensation for the construction of dairy farms up to 400 heads. In the next 2 years, it is planned to put into operation 24 dairy complexes for 17 thousand cows. 16 objects for 6.5 thousand cattle places will be sold already this year.
