Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov met with students of the Kazan Cooperative Institute.
Freshmen, whose specialties are designed to serve the cooperative sector of the republic - these are catering technologists, bakers, merchandisers, accountants, gathered in the auditorium of the institute. One thousand of new students entered the Kazan Cooperative Institute this year.
- Welcome, Marat Gotovitch! - the freshmen welcomed the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, who came into the hall accompanied by the rector of KKI RUK Alsu Nabiyeva and the chairman of the board of Tatpotrebsoyuz Rashat Shaimardanov.
Rector Alsu Nabieva addressed the students with a welcoming speech. “Today is a historic day - here is our chief curator, Marat Gotovitch, he is setting up our university to train personnel for the consumer cooperation system of the Republic of Tatarstan. For more than a year we have been developing the federal state educational standard of higher education in the specialty “Cooperative business”. We presented this project at the beginning of August to the Ministry of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and the Office for the Coordination and Support of Organizations in the Field of Agricultural Sciences supported this process. We hope that by 2020-21 academic year, such a specialty will appear in Russia, ”said the rector.
In addition, Alsu Rustemovna said that in KCI, today 7 thousand students are studying, including freshmen. About half of them are from the towns and villages of Tatarstan.
“The main task for students is to study at our university and return back to their village. Last year, we began to implement the project “Accelerator of youth cooperation” - 121 students took part in it and 57 of them received jobs from the chairmen of the district consumer societies of the republic. These guys are ready to return and work in the field, ”said Alsu Nabieva.
At the end of her speech, Alsu Nabieva expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan for comprehensive support.
Marat Akhmetov congratulated students on the beginning of the academic year and expressed hope that future leaders of cooperatives are sitting in the hall. “Here, in these walls, you can receive a very serious education, go out with highly important skills. This, of course, is a huge responsibility - to train good specialists. The connection between training here and further labor activity needs to be maintained”, said Akhmetov.
Further, the Minister solemnly handed the student ID to the first-year student of the faculty of secondary vocational education (specialty "Technology of catering products" - author's note) Zemfira Zinnatullina, who came from Kukmorsky district. Zemfira received such an honor, because she showed the best results at admission.

The celebration continued with awarding the best employees of KCI with honorary diplomas and souvenirs from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This year, thanks to the support of the Ministry, a new educational and laboratory complex equipped with modern equipment has appeared at the faculty of secondary vocational education. The guys brought the Tatar balish, prepared in the new oven by the hands of students.
