It is important to prevent fire when harvesting!

29 July 2019, Monday

In Tatarstan, harvesting is in full swing. During this period, the issue of fire safety remains relevant. Today, the most serious and dangerous problem is the occurrence of fire in fields planted with grain crops, since the straw and the heap from the grain are a highly inflammable mass.

The issue of preservation of crops is under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. In order to prevent fires during the harvest period, it is necessary to adhere to the recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan. Before maturing, the cereal grain fields in the places of their adherence to roads and railways should be mown and plowed up by a strip not less than 4 meters wide. Do not incinerate stubble.

Harvesting machinery, units and cars should be in good condition. Combine units are equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment (combines and a tractor - two fire extinguishers, two bayonet shovels, two brooms; cars - a fire extinguisher and bayonet shovel). Combine shells should be equipped with a metal chain that touches the ground.

Objects of the agrarian industry - grain flows, tractor mills, storage sites for fuel and lubricants, storage facilities, office buildings - need to be provided with the necessary amount of fire extinguishing water, in accordance with the requirements of building codes and regulations. It is necessary to repair fire hydrants, fire reservoirs, fill them with water to the required level.

When harvesting grain arrays with an area of more than 25 hectares in case of fire in constant readiness there should be a tractor with a plow to plow the burning zone. It is necessary to provide fire-technical equipment and fuel supply.

Managers and employees of agricultural enterprises are obliged to strictly follow the rules of fire safety in order to avoid fires and the loss of large quantities of the crop. In case of fire, you must immediately contact the rescue service by the numbers: 01, 101 or 112.
